Some firsts in Great Britan
As we get the new office organized, as well as the new flat, a few firsts. One, I have now showered, shaved and prettied up in a kitchen sink. Our bathroom overhaul allowed me this fun opportunity for two days.....And my first Car Boot Sale shopping! And most of you know how much I love shopping, ha-ha. So imagine three football fields in two different locations stocked with stuff - okay mostly crap. Then, what can be more fun than buying a used microwave for three quid and getting to carry out around for next two hours? Isn't my wife adorable for giving this to me? And you guessed it. We returned home, plugged it in and szszszszszzss sizzle sounds. It no works. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And Sunday, it was baseball time again! Returning to my British Baseball League mates, The Old Timers Club. What a blast and such a good group of people, lead by the fabulous Jean Crook. I need to get the rust off the swing and heal the hit-by-pitch bruise in first at-bat. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lastly, I am now a fan of General Mills and Cheerios.

Hi Tim, glad you guys are getting settled in London. We miss you guys. So glad to hear you are doing the British Baseball again. I know how much you loved that. Amazing that it is still some of the same guys. Your last comment surprised me.....I always though General Mills took a very conservative political agenda. I will have to google and see if I can figure it out. Tell Colleen hello! Love you both!
Thanks sister dear for always taking the time to read and comment. Heading to batting cages today here. I play more baseball in London than in the States, although definitely making a visit to the Field of Dreams in July. On the Cheerios comment, I am not a big fan of labels like liberal and conservative or whatever. I like to try to be balanced, socially conscious in beliefs. But specifically I was impressed with the Cheerios family commercial but then, shocked at the America outrage to the commercial. Whether it's guns or narrow-minded family depictions, looking at our country from afar is bothersome at times.
Just found the commercial and watched it on You Tube! Had I not been looking for it I don't even think I would have noticed.
